Late, and no art...I AM DISAPPOINT.

Well, this will be short, as it is 3:15 in the A.M.

I will first apologize for my late post. This past week has been hectic, but in a good way. My best friend Emily was host to Cameron the Awesome Brit this week. We had many harrowing adventures, which involved copious amounts of Fun Juice (a.k.a. alcohol). Well, not that much really. Just enough to get a little tipsy and rosy in the cheeks. It was quite fun, indeed.
 Hmm...Well, I've been working on some digital art. I was intending to go over to the art campus to use their awesome Wacom tablets and finish coloring stuff, but alas. I was sidetracked by Final Fantasy 10. And I just almost lost all the information I typed due to shear stupidity. I should probably head off to bed. I promise to upload some art early in the week. Derp.

HEY THAR GUYZ :D

So this past week was somewhat good. I actually finished Math homework, worked on some art, and even played Dungeons and Dragons!!! It was all good! I was going to scan in the art I finished for today, but I didn't find enough time to do it, and my personal scanner is currently at a certain friends place....
  On another note, I think I'm going to try and get an internship this summer. I just need to discuss it with my advisor. I so hope I can get one in the area. That would make me so happy. It would be a real plus if it was a paid internship, that way I wouldn't have to hunt for a job. I'm so lazy.
  Well, since I didn't upload the art that I finished today, I suppose I can upload some more old stuff I've done over the years. Note: This is definitely not my best stuff.

This is a design I did for a contest I never entered. I think it was a Toshiba 'Design a Laptop Skin' contest....

      

I don't know what the complete idea behind this was, but I'm rather sure that it has something to do with Modest Mouse. I found this in a folder labeled 'Graphic Design'. 

Bad Semester...But Now It's Much Better!!! :D

  Well, my intentions for posting every week went down the drain last semester. I henceforth make a promise that I shall update at the very least once a week, on Fridays. I hope to upload pictures of my artwork, be it fan art, paintings, digital stuff, and what not. I also think I might post critiques of art, if I feel up to that mental task...

   Here are two old pieces I did for Publications 1(almost 3 semesters ago!!!) We were to design postcards around a series of seven things we chose. I went all geeky and chose to do a series on the diatomic elements. I know I did more but I have no clue where they disappeared to......
  Medium: Digital; I played around in Illustrator to get the shapes I wanted. ( I really like the Fl one, simply because it's all swirly, and I spent more time on it! :D)

Delayed: Why I'm Slow To Update; Apologies and Such

Well. It's been a long time since my last post. I must say that I apologize for this. If anybody out there cares. D'X It's been an interesting month for me. Mental breakdowns, annoying roommates, awesome friend support. I don't know what the hell has happened this past month, but hopefully it will make me a better artist. So much stress over such small things has shown me not to sweat the small stuff.

On another note, I think I'm going to start a Toberts Love top 5 artist's of the month selection. I'm most likely going to post them from www.deviantart.com, but there may be other artist's from other places on the internet. These artists will be picked based on their skill, how well they get their point across (or how well they make it a point not to make a point at all), content, characters (if applicable) or the concept in and of itself. I'm still not quite sure on this yet, but I think I will post my top 5 at the end of the month. *BTW, I should be updating at least once a week. Possibly more. It depends on how I feel..... XD

To Infinity and.....Well, I'll leave it at that.

   I want to apologize ahead of time for my lack of knowledge with html (which I should know) and it's capabilities with linking things. This is something I know I must work at. Hopefully all will go well with this post. Mostly, this is a test of what links will look like, how I can improve upon linking, and so forth.

  Secondly, I must announce that I will finally be able to watch the new-ish episode of Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files that I've been dying to see. Yay for SyFy and it's amazing shows!! Also, I was excited to learn that in this episode the team investigated the Paulding Light. I live somewhat close to this exciting phenomenon, and one day hope to witness it myself.

Introduction and Intent a.k.a. Why The Hell I'm Starting A Blog

    So. Blogging. Yeah. I really don't know how this is going to work out for me, so I hope to God that I don't come off as incredibly ridiculous when I say I'm a graphic design major that has not, in the past, believed in the value of blogs. I've just never felt the urge to start one up. I have been very lazy in that I do not promote myself as much as I should. Here, I hope to do so.
    I will also be posting things that inspire me, make me laugh, make me cry, make me hate the world, and make me love it. I want this to be me. I want this to be the outlet that I have been afraid to create for so many years.
